Purchasing a HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR to be used for roadway maintenance/construction and soil mining and handling
Pierce County Georgia Board of Commissioners is interested in purchasing a HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR to be used for roadway maintenance/construction and soil mining and handling. To be considered for purchase, all brands and models must meet or exceed the following minimum specifications. Accessories not mentioned specifically herein but necessary to furnish a complete unit ready for use shall be included. If an exception to these specifications is taken, the bidder must list each exception on a separate sheet marked as “BID EXCEPTIONS” and give a description of each exception. Bids shall be sealed in an envelope with the word “Excavator Bid” prominently displayed on the front of the envelope. Bids must be received NO LATER THAN January 4, 2023, 4:00 pm. Bids received after that will not be accepted or considered. The success of the winning bidder will be determined by the bid amount, completeness of the unit offered and the delivery date. Bids will be opened on January 5, 2023, at 10:00 am. Questions may be directed to Road Department Manager Bruce Carter, 912.449.2031, roadmanager@piercecountyga.gov.

 1. A minimum of 159 Engine horsepower
 2. Seat, heated, air suspension
 3. Enclosed cab with heater and air conditioner

 5. Minimum 32 feet reach the ground line 
 6. Minimum 21 feet of digging depth
 7. Minimum 32 feet cutting height
 8. Minimum 14 feet 8-inch undercarriage/track length
 9. Minimum 28-inch semi-grouser shoes
10. Minimum 42-inch heavy-duty digging bucket with side cutters
11. Hydraulic thumb (installed)
12. Hydraulic Coupler for quick attachment change
13. Approximately 51,000 pounds operating weight
14. 60 months or 5000 hours comprehensive warranty
15. 5,000 Hour Hydraulic Oil Change Interval
16. Quickest delivery date possible, not to exceed 6 months from bid award.

The Pierce County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids.

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Drainage and Resurfacing Improvements on Ramah Church Road in Pierce County, Georgia, funded through County’s Transportation Invest Act (TIA) Local Discretionary Funds until 10:15am (local time), Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at which time bids will be opened and read.

Request for Proposals Professional Auditing Services

Pierce County Government is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022, with the option of auditing its financial statements for each of the two subsequent fiscal years. These audits shall be conducted in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America, promulgated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and in accordance with the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, the provisions of the Federal Single Audit Act and its amendments, the U. S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations, and the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.

Residential Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Services for Pierce County GA
The Pierce County Board of Commissioners is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified solid waste collection and disposal contractors. This will be a minimum three (3) year contract with the option to renew.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this RFP is to obtain professional services for the collection and disposal of residential waste throughout the County. All available options will be thoroughly reviewed to determine which services and contractor(s) is best suited to take on this project for the citizens of Pierce County.
