Applications may be completed and submitted in person at the Board of Commissioners Office at 312 Nichols Street, Blackshear during regular business hours of 8 am – 5 pm, Monday thru Friday;

Applications are reviewed by Human Resources and the applicable Department Director or Elected Official. If you are chosen to continue in the selection process for a position, you will be contacted via telephone or e-mail. The length of time to fill a position will vary by position. If you are selected for employment, you will be required to present proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

About Pierce County
Pierce County, established in 1857 and named for President Franklin Pierce, grew out of Appling and Ware counties' lands.
The county seat, Blackshear, bears the name of General David Blackshear who fought Indians in Georgia and Florida during the War of 1812.
