This position is responsible for the daily activities of the Tax Office involved in the collection of taxes and accounting for funds. Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18 years of age or older, and have a valid license. Additionally, all applicants are required to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.

The Finance Director will oversee financial operations to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate operations for the Pierce County Board of Commissioners. Qualified applicants must meet the following criteria: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who are Certified Professional Accountants; have A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional accounting position; have Fluency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets; and possess a valid driver’s license. Additionally, all applicants are required to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening. Hiring range: $51,950 – $62,000.
